Starvation Gulch is Sept. 20-21 and is packed with food, fun and big fires! The tradition began in 1923, and is the symbol of the passing of knowledge to incoming students. The bonfires will be lit at 9 p.m. on Saturday in the Nenana parking lot. A DJ will perform throughout the event, and numerous student organizations will host booths with food and games. If you attend the bonfires, please note that this is a drug- and alcohol-free event, and dogs will not be permitted at the event.

Sign-ups for the bonfire build are Sept. 5 at 9 a.m. in the Center for Student Engagement in Wood Center. Space is limited to the first six teams. Interested in having a booth at the bonfires? Sign up your student organization on Nanook Engage.
