Student-designed and built bike generates electricity

Alexander Bergman, from the Office of Sustainability, helped generate electricity to power computers, charge cell phones and run a light at the Fort Wainwright Earth Day events. The bike generator was built by Ben Abbot, a graduate student at UAF. The educational booth at the Earth Day events help show how UAF students are taking the lead in making UAF a more sustainable campus.
