Students attend party conventions as part of academic class

Students Jeff Thompson and Hannah Harrison participated in the Democratic and Republican
national conventions through the Washington Center's Academic Seminar program this
fall. In addition to their academic studies during the program, Thompson interned
with the DNC CEO's Office and Harrison interned with the International Republican
Institute. Thompson is working toward a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice, Harrison
on her master’s degree in environmental ethnography.
They were sponsored by the UAF Chancellor's Office.
Both students will be giving a presentation on their experiences Friday, Oct. 26 at
1 p.m. in the Wood Center multilevel lounge.
