The University of Alaska Museum of the North is offering two different art workshops for adults this summer. Participants will experiment with color, texture and materials. No previous experience is necessary.

The first workshop, Abstract Collage, is offered Monday, July 27, and Wednesday, July 29, from 6-8 p.m. in the museum’s Creativity Lab. Curator Mareca Guthrie said participants will explore abstract art through different techniques inspired by the museum's special exhibit, “Vogel 50x50.”

Participants in the museum's Naturalistic Printmaking workshop will draw on copper plates and make prints using the museum's press.
