Summer fellowships for undergraduates in STEM fields

The Alaska Space Grant Program is offering stipends for summer 2021 for undergraduate students to participate in science research or engineering design projects with faculty mentors. Applications are due Monday, March 1.


Undergraduate Research Apprenticeships


These fellowships are for full-time students who are U.S. citizens to explore a research question or engineering design project under the mentorship of a faculty mentor.

The stipends are $6,000. Students should expect to expend approximately 400 hours of effort on their projects over the summer.Students apply directly to the Alaska Space Grant Program. Students should identify a faculty member who will mentor them for the duration of the award and can provide a letter of collaboration as part of the student's application.
