Sustainable Village student design competition
August 1, 2011
The UAF Sustainable Village student design competition will engage university students in designing a cluster of small student housing units
that will be cost effective, resource responsible, energy efficient and community
focused. The Cold Climate Housing Research Center will consider all good ideas generated in the competition for incorporation in the
final design. Registration begins Monday, Aug. 15. More information, including the
competition guidelines and timeline, is available online.
The Sustainable Village at UAF is a shared project between the Office of Sustainability
and CCHRC with a goal of contributing to a more sustainable built environment at UAF
and elsewhere in the circumpolar north.
