Swimming closes out regular season against Simon Fraser

Final Home Meets
The 21st-ranked Nanooks will wrap up the regular season this weekend when they face off against No. 15 Simon Fraser in a pair of dual meets. Friday's session begins at 6 p.m. with Saturday's action starting at noon. Admission is free for all spectators and live stats and live video will be available.

Nanooks at a Glance
Alaska is currently 3-3 on the season and 2-2 at home entering this weekend's double dip. Back in December, the Nanooks had numerous records fall and took seventh out of 12 collegiate teams and fourth among Division II programs competing at the 2012 Husky Invitational. In the latest CSCAA rankings, the Nanooks sit 21st in the NCAA Division II poll.

Rematch with the Clan
Back on Jan. 12, Alaska fell 75-44 at Simon Fraser in Burnaby, B.C. The Clan won nine individual events of the 12 and one of two relay races en route to the win. Bente Heller,Margot Adams and Danielle Lyons all won individually and the trio along with Gabi Summers took a relay to highlight Alaska's day at SFU.

Scouting Simon Fraser
Simon Fraser is ranked 15th in the latest CSCAA Division II poll and bring in a 6-1 record this weekend. Last weekend, the Clan downed California Baptist 125-102 in Riverside, Calif., but fell to 10th ranked UCLA of Division I, 114-76 in Los Angeles. Prior to Jan. 12, Simon Fraser had met Alaska on one occasion, at the Husky Invitational. SFU finished sixth out of the 12 college teams and third among Division II programs.
