Junior Bente Heller (Hamburg, Germany/Communication) set another varsity record on Friday morning and she will be the top seed for tonight's championship final in the 100 backstroke at the 2013 NCAA Swimming and Diving Championship at the CrossPlex Complex.

Heller turned in a new program-record mark in the four-length event as she hit the wall in 54.53 seconds, which was nearly a half second faster than any other competitor. She bested her own previous school record of 55.09, which she set in the backstroke portion of the 400 medley relay at last month's conference meet.

Sophomore Margot Adams (Anchorage, Alaska/Political science) also competed during Friday's preliminaries and turned in a 19th-place showing in the 200 butterfly with a clocked time of 2:06.75.

The finals session is set to begin at 3 p.m. (AKST) and you can watch the action live on ncaa.com.
