Get students to help themselves — and others — by encouraging community connections. When students engage with others or become immersed in the class in some way, they are more inclined to participate. Participation and a sense of community both help increase student success. This tip also speaks to how you might best use your time when monitoring or moderating discussions through a weaving and summarizing technique.
