Teaching Tips Live to discuss student video presentations
April 1, 2014
The Teaching Tips Live series is a presentation to and discussion with UAF faculty about new technology and instructional methods that can be used online and in face-to-face classrooms.
We know it’s important that our students use multimedia for their presentations these days. We also know that encouraging students to present with video can instill excitement for a project that may otherwise be greeted with faux enthusiasm. How, though, do we assign such projects? And how do we modulate our expectations so that students must still exhibit satisfactory academic rigor in fulfilling them? Where does a video project ably replace an equivalent written project? While we engage with these questions, we will also be looking at various tools that make video projects possible in your class.
