Team reviews UAF training programs
October 10, 2014
Vice Chancellor for Administrative Services Pat Pitney has created a team to examine
UAF training programs and recommend improvements.
The Training and Development Process Improvement Team has several goals. Information
about training programs should be available in one easy-to-find place. Trainings should
create clear pathways from initial on-boarding through career development. Reports
should allow employees to tell what they need easily.
The team is gathering information now. In the coming weeks, team members will collect information
on both required and optional trainings. They will survey staff to identify training
gaps and other needs.
Staff should respond to these information requests with as much relevant detail as
they can offer.
For more information about the process improvement effort, please visit http://www.uaf.edu/finserv/omb/process-improvement/ or contact any of the team members.
