Templeton to serve as fire marshal

After a nationwide search, the University Fire Department has hired Ron Templeton as the new assistant chief of fire and life safety (fire marshal). Templeton is currently employed as the assistant fire marshal for the City of Fairbanks Fire Department. Templeton has more than 20 years of experience in fire safety and prevention. Templeton will join the department Monday, Oct. 15.
