Temporary Duckering entry closure
July 18, 2017
As part of the engineering facility construction, upgrades are being made to the Duckering
northwest entrance and stairwell. Work includes replacement of the entry doors and
sidewalk, new stair treads, fire door reconstruction, and installation of electronic
locks. The work will be performed in two phases. Sidewalk replacement and interior
fire code work (second level only) will occur over the next four weeks. The remaining
work will occur between Labor Day and late October.
Access to Duckering is available at the entrance to the engineering building and through
two entrances on the east side of Duckering. During the first closure, the northwest
elevator may not be available, but the southeast elevator will be in service. Signs
posted in the facility will help you find alternate routes into and around Duckering.
Please do not enter the construction zones.
