The Mobile Web & Research, a presentation by GI Computer Resource Center Manager Paul Delys, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, June 28, in the GI Globe Room.

As promised by the science fiction of our youth, hand-held computers and sensors are ubiquitous in the 21st century. Many of us have one of these devices within reach 24 hours a day. The cell phone, particularly the "smart phone," has changed communication for everyone from presidents and kings to subsistence hunters and gatherers. In this talk, the untapped potential of these devices to aid science and science education will be explored.
