Morgan Dulian has been named the interim director of development in the recently formed University Advancement unit, which includes Development, Alumni Relations and University Relations. She has been with UAF since 2015 and has most recently served as the lead major gift officer in the department of development and alumni relations.

During her tenure at UAF, she has implemented strategies that have increased philanthropic gifts by nearly 30% both in FY20 and FY21, which she attributes to connecting benefactors and corporate partners to UAF in ways that are meaningful to them. Her professional experience includes 14 years of fundraising for higher education, human services and arts organizations in Denver and Fairbanks.

Dulian graduated from the University of Colorado Boulder with a bachelor of arts and sciences in communication in 2005 and earned a master of nonprofit management from Regis University in 2012. She also earned her certified fundraising executive credential, commonly known as CFRE, in 2021.

Dulian and her husband, Haakon, are raising three children in their log home in the woods north of town.

She has experience in all aspects of higher education fundraising, including planned giving, capital gifts, major gifts, special events and annual giving.

Bean is a lifelong Alaskan but is currently based outside Vancouver, Washington, where she connects with UAF benefactors and friends in the Pacific Northwest.

She is a two-time graduate of UAF, with an undergraduate degree in communication (2006) and a master’s in professional communication (2011). She and her wife, Andrea, also a two-time UAF alumna, live in Camas, Washington, along with their daughter Elliot, son George, and dog Zip.
