Two new professional development grants available

graphic image for professional development fundingThe Provost’s Faculty Development Team announces two new opportunities to support professional development for all UAF faculty, including adjuncts.

A number of Equitable Professional Development Grants are available for up to $2,500. These grants are meant to support Indigenous faculty and faculty from other under-represented groups in pursuing professional development opportunities.

Second, a similar family of up to $2,500 grants are available to support adjuncts. Adjunct Professional Development Grants are available for those adjuncts teaching during the spring and summer 2021 semesters. 

Applications for both grant opportunities have a rolling deadline, and the funds are applicable to activities that occur before May 30, 2021. Requests will be reviewed by the Faculty Development Team, and for applicable requests, funds will be distributed on a first-come first-serve basis. Online and in-person opportunities will be considered.
