UA Board of Regents full board meeting June 4-5

The University of Alaska Board of Regents will meet this week to discuss the university’s FY21 and FY22 budget and take up the preliminary review of possible options for university transformation. The full board will meet Thursday, June 4, from 8 a.m.-5 p.m. and Friday, June 5, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

The board will review and approve the FY21 budget and provide guidance to address the FY22 budget. The projected budget gap for FY22 ranges from $11.3 million to $36.3 million. Visit alaska.edu/bor/solutions for the latest information on proposed options.


In addition to the budget, the board’s agenda includes updates on Title IX. President Johnsen will present four outstanding staff members with the “Staff Make Students Count” award for providing outstanding service to students, and regents will recognize retiring leaders UAS Chancellor Rick Caulfield, UA Foundation President Susan Foley, and UA general counsel Mike Hostina.
