Community and Technical College to host Register 'til Dusk event

The Fairbanks community is invited to attend the Register 'til Dusk event on Thursday, April 24, from 4–6:30 p.m. at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community and Technical College.
Register 'til Dusk is an excellent chance for current and prospective students to explore the breadth of certificate and degree programs CTC has to offer, all in one night. Staff will be available to assist in registering for classes, getting a Polar Express card or a parking pass, and ordering books. Program experts and advisors will also be available to discuss areas of study, tuition waiver opportunities and financial aid. New students can apply to UAF CTC on the spot; the $40 UAF application fee will be waived at this event.
UAF Community and Technical College offers more than 40 one-year certificate and two-year associate degree programs in a variety of exciting fields. These 10-month, 1- and 2- year programs provide marketable skills in high-demand fields. Most of the fastest growing occupations in the United States require only a community or technical college education. Areas of study at CTC include emergency services, aviation and nursing.
The college's close relationship with industry and its hands-on approach to teaching gives CTC students the unique tools they need to enter into a successful career after completing their program. Many CTC programs boast a 100 percent success rate of students obtaining employment immediately after graduation. Some students find full-time employment even while going to school at CTC. Other students complete their degrees at CTC and move on to a four-year degree at UAF. High school students are encouraged to take classes at CTC to begin their college careers.
The college is conveniently located at 604 Barnette Street in downtown Fairbanks. Parking is free for this event, and pizza and refreshments will be provided.
