UAF Day at the fair slated for Tuesday, Aug. 9

UAF Day at the Tanana Valley State Fair will take place Tuesday, Aug. 9. UAF employees, students and alumni can wear Nanooks gear, show a PolarExpress card or Alumni Association card, and receive $1 off adult fair admission. Stop by and enjoy the fun!

Totem Square
Noon-5 p.m. — University Fire Department engine on display
Noon-7 p.m.— Merchandise sales from the Bookstore, UA Press and Alaska Sea Grant; Community and Technical College selfie station
2-7 p.m.— Hands-on permafrost activities
3-7 p.m. — Unmanned aircraft models on display
4-6:30 p.m. — Special appearance from Nook

Ferguson Field Stage
5–6 p.m.— Physics Fun House

Borealis Pavilion
Noon-10 p.m. — Staff from the Office of Admissions, the School of Natural Resources and Extension, and the UAF Community and Technical College will be available for questions.

Delta Barn
Noon-10 p.m. — Animal displays from the Cooperative Extension Service’s 4-H program participants

UAF Alumni Association Hamburger Booth
Noon-10 p.m. — Visit alumni inside the booth and get a great value on your fair food! All sales benefit scholarships at UAF.
