Re: UAF to remain open Monday

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will be open regular hours Monday, Dec. 5 and classes will be in session.

That said, I urge both students and employees to use their own judgment in determining whether to come to campus. Faculty members should communicate directly with their students if they plan to cancel a specific class. Employees should communicate with their supervisors if they cannot make it to work or need to come in late.

I urge both supervisors and faculty members to be flexible during these weather conditions. Safety is our primary concern. For more information about campus closure policies, visit www.uaf.edu/chancellor/policy/02.02.011/.

This information is current as of 9 p.m. Sunday. I will be reevaluating conditions in the morning and, if there are significant changes, will be sharing new information via email and Facebook, as well as at uafalert.alaska.edu and 474-7823.
