UAF recognized with four awards for public relations work

UAF received four Aurora Awards from the Public Relations Society of America Alaska chapter. The Aurora Awards recognize the best public relations campaigns and tactics that have taken place over the last year.


University Relations worked with units throughout UAF on the award-winning projects.


Public relations planning around UAF's Center for One Health Research and  One Health, One Future video won first place for integrated communications and was a finalist for the Grand Aurora Award given to the top campaign in Alaska.

UAF's Leader in Arctic Research report took a third place award in the category of special electronic and printed promotional materials, and UAF's virtual commencement won third place for events seven days or less.


The awards were announced Thursday Oct. 22, during a virtual ceremony. There were more than 70 award submissions from public relations professionals in Alaska representing many industries and sectors.
