The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International has extended its accreditation of the University of Alaska Fairbanks School of Management for
another five years.
The school holds both business accreditation and specialized accounting accreditation
through AACSB International. This highly sought-after dual accreditation has only
been achieved by 189 of universities worldwide. UAF is the only university in Alaska
with this distinction.
“Having our school's AACSB accreditation reaffirmed is the result of our school's
focused dedication to our students and their academic and career success,” said Mark
Herrmann, dean of the School of Management. “It is an external validation that the
School of Management meets the highest standards of business schools around the world.”
Founded in 1916, AACSB International is the longest-serving global accrediting body
for business schools that offer undergraduate, master’s and doctoral degrees in business
and accounting.
