The UAF Student Ambassador Program is accepting nominations
March 27, 2014
The University of Alaska Fairbanks Student Ambassador Program is seeking student nominations
for the 2014-2015 academic year.
Student ambassadors are an integral part of new student recruitment at UAF, serving
as the face of our university to prospective students and the community. They connect
with, and inspire, future college students by offering firsthand knowledge of activities
and opportunities available at UAF. They offer campus tours, blog about college life,
chat with applicants, assist with recruitment events and reach out to K-12 schools.
The more qualified the nominees, the more selective the program can be in the interview
process, ensuring a quality experience for prospective UAF students.
Student ambassadors who volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per semester, while maintaining
a 2.5 GPA, will have the opportunity to receive a $200 scholarship at the end of each
semester. They also gain valuable professional experience, develop their presentation
and communication skills, and learn a great deal about the university.
If you know of students who would be great additions to the Student Ambassador Program,
please nominate them by visiting the following site: http://bit.ly/W8KQtA. After students
are nominated, they will be invited to apply and interview for the program.
