Registration is open for high school students to take college courses at the University
of Alaska Fairbanks this summer. Students can enroll in lower-division courses with
permission from the instructor; admission at UAF is not required.
Some students may also be able to use UAF courses for dual credit, which allows college
credits to also count toward high school graduation. Students should contact their
guidance counselors for information. In Fairbanks, a school district application for
dual credit must be completed before the course begins. UAF Summer Sessions has two
six-week sessions, May 23–July 1 and July 6–Aug. 12, along with a full 12–week session from May 23–Aug.12.
For more information, registration and a sample of available UAF courses, go online
to www.uaf.edu/summer/students/high-school. Students may also call the UAF Office of Admissions and the Registrar at 907-474-7500,
or Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning at 907-474-7021 or toll-free at 866-404-7021.
