UAF Summer Sessions offers recreational camps for kids

UAF Summer Sessions & Lifelong Learning will offer three different recreational camps for children ages 5-12 in July.

Music Camp will allow kids to explore creativity through music. They will learn the joy of music through song, dance and instrument construction. The camp will take place July 7-11 from 1-4 p.m. in 156 University Park Building.

Camp iPad allows kids to explore the iPad and learn what a creative tool it can be. They will make videos, draw digitally and create a digital book or project and more. For students entering grades 4-6, the camp takes place July 14-18, from 9 a.m. to noon. For students entering grades 2 and 3, the camp takes place July 21-25 from 9 a.m. to noon in 319 Bunnell Building. The camp will provide iPads.

Dinosaur Camp will allow kids to discover different types of dinosaurs, learn how fossils are preserved and participate in hands-on activities to understand how we study dinosaurs. The camp will take place July 14-18, from 9 a.m. to noon, in 309 Murie Building.
