UAF Sustainable Art Show

The Wood Center Mall turned into an art gallery last week with the UAF Sustainability Art Show. Twenty-eight students from Professor Wendy Croskrey’s sculpture and 3D classes created fine works of art made from recycled materials. The Best in Show winner was Joel Isaak’s ‘Headdress’ created from firewood, beer and wine bottles, copper pile, tarp fabric, stove wire and potato stain. All of the pieces can be viewed on line at: www.uaf.edu/sustainability. The Office of Sustainability and student RISE Board partnered with the UAF Art Department to organize this exhibition.
