UAF to announce new intercollegiate athletics director

The University of Alaska Fairbanks will host a press conference to name the new intercollegiate athletics director for the Alaska Nanooks Friday, Aug. 31 at 10:30 a.m. in the Nanook Lounge at the Patty Center.
Three finalists visited campus this week and met with members of the search committee, university administrators, and Alaska Nanooks staff members and coaches. The three finalists are Carl Clapp, associate athletics director at the University of Hawaii at Manoa; Gary Gray, director of intercollegiate athletics at Montana State University, Billings; and Bill Macriss, deputy director of athletics at Sacramento State.
