UAF United Way Campaign Zoom events

UAF’s United Way’s Campaign will kick off Dec. 1 and run through Dec. 10. Marcia Cassino,
UAF's campaign coordinator and assistant to the vice chancellor for student affairs,
has worked with United Way staff to create a campaign that maintains social distancing
with no in-person events.
UAF has set a goal to raise $40,000 and will host five lunchtime live Zoom events. Each event will feature a different agency partner. Learn how your donation makes
a difference in the community through the eyes of the agencies and recipients.
Anyone who attends one of these events and makes a donation to any United Way agency
will be entered to win an Alaska Airlines ticket.
Literacy Council

Provides shelter and service for domestic violence victims; focuses on community awareness,
education and prevention of domestic violence. Emergency shelter, legal advocacy counseling
and support, community education, transitional housing, alternatives-to-violence education
groups.
