Every year, students, faculty and staff give their time, energy and money to help support the United Way of the Tanana Valley. The United Way helps the Fairbanks communities in ways some will never know and has touched many hearts with a helping hand from people like us!

This year, I am co-chairing the United Way campaign with Brad Lobland, director of the Office of Human Resources. We wanted to make sure you are aware about an exciting opportunity for donors. We will hold a drawing at the Chancellor’s Holiday Gathering, 4–6 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 17, in the Wood Center multilevel lounge. Students, faculty or staff who contribute to the UAF United Way campaign before Dec. 16 will be entered to win the following prizes:

  • annual parking permit

  • meal plan from UAF Dining Services

  • Student Recreation Center pass

  • Nanook game tickets

Donors who contribute $50 or increase their donation by $50 from last year by Dec. 31 will be entered into a drawing for 100,000 Alaska Airlines miles.

Our goal this year is to raise $55,000 and to increase donor participation. Forms are being delivered to departments and are available at the offices of Human Resources and the Bursar. No matter how much you give, your gift can really make a difference in our community.

The United Way Committee thanks you in advance for your support and thoughtful consideration. Each dollar raised will have a positive impact on an individual.

Thank you for your generosity!
