University Avenue opens Oct. 24; look for new crosswalk signal

University Avenue between College Road and the Geist/Johansen intersection will be
fully open to traffic Wednesday morning.
A crosswalk replaces the pedestrian bridge at Sandvik Street. The new crosswalk includes a signal system that may be unfamiliar to Fairbanks drivers. Please take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with the new signal by reviewing the image below, visiting the Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities website, and, on a lighter note, watching this humorous YouTube video.
