Neil Davis, UAF professor emeritus, will present "Poker Flat Research Range: Origin, Construction and Early Operation" at 3:30 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 20, in the Elvey Building Globe Room.

Davis, who was a leader at the Geophysical Institute and the range, is a renowned author of academic articles and books, including "The Aurora Watcher's Handbook" and "Rockets over Alaska: The Genesis of Poker Flat."
