Volunteers needed for Joy Elementary career panel

March 4, 2020

University Relations

The Financial Aid Office is organizing the Kids2College Program in Alaska’s Interior region. Local sixth-graders are completing a six-week curriculum, learning about careers and how to prepare for college. At the end of the program, the students will visit campus to experience a day in the life of a college student.

Three people are needed to talk about their career fields and education as part of a career panel at Joy Elementary on Tuesday, March 31, from 12:30-1:20 p.m. Each presentation takes just 10-15 minutes.

If you are interested in the program and unable to attend Joy, there are opportunities to speak at other events. To volunteer, please contact Jessica Speed at jaspeed@alaska.edu or 474-7647.
