Wanted: UAF recycling committee members

In one week in June, UAF recycled a total of 32 tons: 3,340 pounds of plastic, 22,880 pounds of glass and 38,960 pounds of paper. We are looking for motivated individuals to serve on the UAF Recycling and Zero Waste Committee to help UAF reduce and ultimately eliminate waste on campus. Our long-term environmental sustainability vision includes using and purchasing renewable and recycled materials.

This first meeting will be 12 – 1 p.m., Friday, July 8, and will meet on a monthly basis to get things up and running. For more information contact Michele Hebert or visit the Office of Sustainability website.
