West Ridge United Way fundraiser

A West Ridge fundraiser for United Way will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4. There are three ways to participate:


  1. Enter your favorite holiday cookies into a taste-off; entry fee is $5 for each entry. (Please bring your dessert to the IARC lobby at 11 a.m. for set up. Participation is allowed later, but early arrival of the dessert makes set up easier.)
    Prizes are UAF Bookstore gift certificates:

    • 1st Prize -- $35

    • 2nd Prize -- $20

    • 3rd Prize --  $15 (Three to be awarded)



  2. Be a taster and donate $5. Get six tickets for six tastes of holiday cookies of your choice, and vote for your favorite. Tasting takes place between noon-1:30 p.m.

  3. Donate or buy a delicious holiday dessert in a silent auction. (Please bring auction items to the IARC lobby at 11 a.m. for set up. Participation is allowed later, but early arrival makes set up easier.)
    Consider offering the service item with the your delicious dessert.

    • Cookies, glazed nuts, etc. in holiday tins

    • Baskets with goodies inside

    • Coffee and/or mug(s) with Gift Certificates to local coffee/tea vendors




Bids must be in even $1.00 increments. High bidder wins! Planning committee will contact bidders after 1:30 p.m. Cash or checks addressed to United Way of Tanana Valley are acceptable forms of payment.
