Transfer your child's energy into an earthquake at the Fairbanks Children’s Museum's Super Sunday event, March 9 from 2:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Scientists from the University of Alaska Fairbanks Geophysical Institute and the Alaska Earthquake Center will explore earthquake science through hands-on learning exercises. There will be a Jump Zone where kids can make their own earthquake signal and see it displayed, a Shaker Table where they can build a structure and watch its response to an earthquake and other games to learn about earthquakes in Alaska.

Super Sunday is hosted by the Fairbanks Children’s Museum, which is inside the University of Alaska Museum of the North. Admission is $5 per child and $8 per adult and includes general museum admission.

The Children's Museum event is sponsored by the EarthScope Project, Alaska Earthquake Center and the UAF Geophysical Institute.
