The Alaska women's basketball team closes the 2012 calendar year on Monday and Tuesday when it plays host to Dallas Christian College at the Patty Center in the program's final two non-conference games.

Both games will tip off at 5:15 p.m. and it is part of the two-day double-header with the men's basketball team. Admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children under 18 and discounts will be made for alumni, military and seniors. The ticket price is good for admission into both men's and women's game as part of the double-header.

The Nanooks (0-7, 0-1 GNAC) will end their 16-day hiatus from the court as they are searching for their first win of the 2012-13 campaign. Last time out, Alaska fell 86-58 at rival Alaska Anchorage on Dec. 1 at the Wells Fargo Sports Complex.

The Seawolves outscored the Nanooks 52-32 in the second half to run away with the GNAC-opening victory. Alaska stormed out of the gates, jumping out to an early 11-4 lead in the first six and a half minutes, but after allowing UAA to go on an 11-0 run, the hosts never trailed again.

Junior guard April Fultz (Rialto, Calif./Political science) leads the team and ranks 11th in the conference with 13.3 points per game while senior guard Taylor Altenburg (Elko, Nev./Criminal justice) averages 11.4 points, to rank 19th in the GNAC. Altenburg and Fultz also rank 11th and 19th in rebounding with 6.1 and 5.6 rebounds, respectively.
