Please respect 10 mph speed limit on Tanana Loop
November 10, 2016
The speed limit on Tanana Loop next to the new engineering building has been reduced
to 10 mph to protect workers during the final construction phase.
Please respect the the limit during the hours when it's in effect.
A speeding car on Tanana Loop almost hit a contractor's delivery truck as it slowed to
enter the job site this week. Other drivers also have violated the clearly posted
speed limit.
The site will become more congested and more dangerous next month as staffing on the
project is increased. The project manager would prefer not to close the road; however,
safety must come first. If vehicles continue to exceed the work-zone speed limit,
Facilities Services may close Tanana Loop to ensure worker safety.
