Workshop to focus on home accessibility

The University of Alaska Fairbanks Cooperative Extension Service will host a workshop Friday in Fairbanks on adapting homes for seniors and people with disabilities.
Energy specialist Art Nash will teach the class from 5 to 7 p.m. at the North Star Council on Aging Senior Center at 1424 Moore St.
Alaska has the fastest growing senior population, yet housing stock lacks the adaptations that allow older Alaskans to stay in their homes as long as possible.
