Adelaide Johnson, a hydrologist with the U.S. Forest Service's Pacific Northwest Research Station will present “Sustaining Wood and Bark for Culture: Fostering Community Resilience” March 21 from 4-5 p.m. on Zoom. Johnson enjoys conducting diverse cross-discipline biophysical research relevant to people and communities. She works with the research branch of the Forest Service out of Juneau and has a doctorate in environmental science and resources from Portland State University. Her participation in northwest coast carving over the last three years served as the impetus to this study.
