Campus rekey update

Nov. 19, 2021

The Division of Design and Construction and the Physical Plant lock shop have been working for the past several years to plan and layout a new keying system for most buildings on the Troth Yeddha’ Campus. After many COVID-19-related delays, the lock and key hardware for phase one of the campus rekey project has been received. Hardware installation started this week in the Duckering Building.

This work will continue into January. Following the Duckering Building, the installation crew will move to the Engineering Learning and Innovation Facility then up to the West Ridge Research Building and will continue through the rest of phase one. As each building’s phase approaches, Design and Construction and the lock shop will reach out to access approvers and building occupants to go through the steps necessary to get their new keys ahead of installation to minimize the impact of the transition process.
