The Midnight Sun Run will begin at the University of Alaska Fairbanks at 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 22. The UAF Police Department will close parts of campus to vehicle access before the race.
The Patty Center parking lot, where the race is being staged, will close at approximately 1 p.m. Saturday. The Nenana parking lot, located across Tanana Loop from the Patty Center lot, and the parking lot in front of Lathrop Hall will close starting at about 7:45 p.m.
Multiple roads on campus will also be closed to traffic:
- 7:45 p.m. — Tanana Loop will close between the Thompson Drive roundabout and the intersection of South Chandalar Drive, near the Lola Tilly Commons. Denali Lane, behind the lower dorms, will also be closed.
- 9:30 p.m. — Thompson Drive to the roundabout will close until runners have left campus.
- 10 p.m. — The Geist Road and Thompson Drive intersection will close until all runners have crossed the street.
Campus roads and parking lots are expected to reopen once runners have left campus, usually around 10:30 p.m.
A campus map is available on the UAF website.
