CFOS Seminar: Girls on Water

The first College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences seminar of this semester is on Wednesday, Jan. 19, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The speakers are graduate students  Stephanie O'Daly and Lauren Sutton. 

Girls on Water:  A tuition-free marine-ecology focused backcountry science and art program in Kachemak Bay

The speakers will discuss how the Girls on Water program inspires interest and helps remove barriers to entry into the marine science and outdoor realms. The program is funded by the Alaska Established Program for Stimulating Competitive Research.
