CFOS Seminar: How microbes drive biogeochemical processes
Date: Feb. 16, 2022
Time: 3:30-4:30 p.m.
Location: Online
The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will hold its next weekly seminar on Wednesday, Feb. 16, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The talk will be offered by Jeff Bowman, who is an assistant professor at Scripps Institution of Oceanography.
Understanding microbial community structure as a driver of coastal and polar biogeochemical processes
Bowman will discuss how machine learning techniques predict key biogeochemical rates and processes from time-series microbial community structure data.
Participants must register in advance. Email kbgorman@alaska.edu for more information.
