CFOS seminar: The lost cultures of whales

The College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences will hold its next weekly seminar on Wednesday, March 2, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The talk will be offered by Shane Gero, who is the Founder of the Dominica Sperm Whale Project.
The Lost Cultures of Whales
Shane Gero will summarize 17 years of research and thousands of hours spent in the company of sperm whale families. He will highlight the relationships between communication, social structure, and culture among the whales and discuss what is lost with their decline in the eastern Caribbean.
