The next College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences seminar is on Wednesday, Nov. 17, from 3:30-4:30 p.m. via Zoom. The speaker is CFOS post-doctoral fellow Laura Whitmore.  

Vanadium: a basin-scale indicator of reducing shelves in the Arctic Ocean

The Arctic Ocean basins are influenced by imposing shelves that account for roughly 50% of the ocean’s area. Laura Whitmore will talk about the element vanadium as a tracer of shelf interactions and how vanadium is altered by shelves, rivers, particle cycling and biology.
