Compliance Alliance fact: Due process

The Compliance Alliance committee was created in fall 2021 to focus on the many compliance requirements at UAF. We would like to share the following compliance tip or fact with you this week.

What does due process mean for me as a student? At UAF we have a student code of conduct and a part of that code is how the university is committed to upholding your rights. The code outlines anything from academic misconduct issues to housing policy violations. The Student Code of Conduct is part of Board of Regents’ Policy and outlines steps the university must take if a student is being accused of misconduct. Check it out for yourself: Student Code of Conduct.  If you have questions please reach out to the Center for Student Rights and Responsibilities.

The Compliance Alliance meets monthly to evaluate risks associated with compliance issues, identify university policies that need to be enhanced and analyze the effectiveness of compliance processes across campus. You can contact the chair, Ashley Munro, at 907-474-1934 or akmunro@alaska.edu.
