The University of Alaska Museum of the North will focus on winter themes during family programs in December.

Families with children ages 5 and under are invited to drop in at Early Explorers on Friday, Dec. 13, from 10 a.m. to noon. Create and discover with hands-on activities focused on hibernation, and explore the galleries.

Winter Exploration Day, designed for children ages 6 and older with an adult, will be held on Thursday, Dec. 19, from 1:30 to 4:30 p.m. Drop in anytime to make winter crafts, investigate how animals and humans adapt to winter, and explore the galleries with a scavenger hunt.

These programs are included with admission and are free for members.
