Geospatial Cloud Computing workshop

A free workshop on Geospatial Cloud Computing with the Google Earth Engine is scheduled for March 21-22. 

The workshop is hosted by the University of Alaska Fairbanks Institute of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Extension and is open to students, research staff and faculty. It will be taught by Qiusheng Wu of the University of Tennessee, who is the author of "Earth Engine and Geemap Geospatial Data Science using Python."

The class will include an introduction to Google Earth Engine and GEE Data Catalog. It will focus on training in to set up and use of Google Earth Engine cloud computing for regional/global scale data processing using GEE Python API, GEE Data Catalog, and local dataset.

The class will be held in-person and via Zoom from 1-4 p.m. on March 21 and 9 a.m. to noon and 2-4 p.m. on March 22. In-person participants will met at the BP Design Theater (Rm 401) in the Usibelli Engineering Building. Register at https://bit.ly/GEEworkshop by March 18.
