Graduate assistant pay increases

The University of Alaska Fairbanks is moving forward with the roll out of an increase in the minimum hourly stipend rate for graduate assistants (i.e., engagement, research and teaching assistants) based on the review and recommendation of the UAF Graduate School.

The new minimum rates are $21.00 (for students in masters’ programs, and students in Ph.D. programs without a master’s degree), $22.50 (for students in Ph.D. programs with a master’s degree), and $24.00 (for students in Ph.D. programs who have advanced to candidacy). These increases will become effective for the spring semester 2023.
