The University of Alaska Fairbanks Music in the Garden concert series will kick off Thursday, May 23, at the Georgeson Botanical Garden.

Part of UAF’s Summer Sessions and Lifelong Learning, the concert series offers 12 weeks of family-friendly performances on Thursday evenings throughout the summer.

Each concert features two bands. The first band starts at 6 p.m., and the second plays at 7:30 p.m.

Concerts are free, but donations to support the botanical garden are welcome.

Because parking is limited, concertgoers are encouraged to use a free shuttle that departs from the Nenana Parking Lot, located across from the Patty Center, beginning at 5:30 p.m.

This summer’s Music in the Garden schedule includes the following bands.

  • May 23 – Fireweed Fiddle, Steve Brown and the Bailers
